Calling all language teachers!We are thrilled to announce our first Teachers’ Meetup, which will be held on 24 January 2023 at 17:00 CET. Following up on some ideas raised at the CercleS Conference in Porto, we will be launching what we hope will be a series of regular monthly teacher get-togethers via Zoom. The sessions will be organised around breakout-rooms where teachers of a specific (target) language will be able to talk about the specific issues concerning its teaching. For our first meeting, we will have breakout rooms for teachers of English, French, Spanish, Italian, German and Swedish, and we are happy to expand the offering if needed. It will not be necessary to speak English or any other language than the one you teach to take part in these sessions. Monthly leadership meetupsWe invite all colleagues who are involved in leadership and management to our monthly Leadership meetups. These meetings are aimed specifically at Language Centre managers, and allow colleagues to discuss issues related to managing a Language Centre or Language Department in a small, closed group of peers. Update from the ECMLCercleS – as a partner of the European Centre for Modern Languages of the Council of Europe – was invited to the colloquium entitled “Innovative Methodologies and Assessment in Language Learning 10 years on – moving forward together” held on 13-14 December 2022, and the ECML Professional Network Forum (PNF) meeting held on 15 December 2021.
